"Above everything, including profit, X works to protect the public’s right to free speech. But for speech to be truly free, we must also have the freedom to see or hear things that some people may consider objectionable,” he added.

Good to know you believe in free speech. Elmo. So you won’t mind if companies exercise that right by choosing not to advertise on your racist, apartheid-loving network.

And the freedom to say “that’s objectionable” and choose not to be associated with it.

Elon wants people to have the freedom to hear and see shit that makes them sick, but doesn’t want them to have the freedom to leave it’s presence.

Elon’s a pretty twisted little shit, isn’t he?

That’s not freedom of speech, that’s freedom of association. Different freedoms. Your point remakns though, I’m not arguing, just pointing that out.

Freedom of speech is connected to freedom of association, which also includes the freedom to not speak and to not associate (ie. halting advertising)

MediaMatters: “Here’s evidence Musk is an antisemite.”

Elon: “I’m suing you for speaking freely!”

It’s important to note that one of Musk’s lawyers, not Musk himself, made this statement. That’s because lawyers are immune to levels of irony that would be lethal to an ordinary human.

Musk, the richest man in the world, said today that he will be ‘holding his breath until everyone is nice to him’. The statement came as advertisers grew concerned about being associated with blatant antisemitism. A statement released by Apple claims that Musk is ‘acting up for attention and needs a timeout and possibly a nap.’ Musk responded with a post to X, formerly a semi-legitimate social media platform, that 'Apple is a big meanie who is in bed with the Jews. ’

supporting free speech by suing people for speech in the attempt to limit speech. I’m not saying media shouldn’t be held accountable but in the age of PR bullshit do words mean things anymore?

Believing there are limits to free speech is not a crazy thing but just say what you mean. Media watchdog said things you don’t like so you’re suing them.

I really want to see him fall on his face suing people who choose to not do business at the nazi bar, then try to sue the ADL for pointing out he runs the nazi bar. Please, please, let him spend whatever he has left on this…

“Has our company ever made bad business decisions? Well, we once bought advertising from Twitter. Don’t do that. In the calm, rational, well-weighed opinion of our company, Musk is a massive crybaby and dealing with him is such a fucking fucking headache.” - overheard in a business seminar, 2024

something I hadn’t considered until right now is what if spaceX gets a contract for replacement ICBM launch vehicles or for a new whole weapon. Seeing what he does with Tesla and the owners lack of real ownership could be a warning sign

But her boss (Elon) last night endorsed the pernicious antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jewish people are supporting “hordes of minorities” who are “flooding” into the country to replace white people.

    Ouch.

I think that is called “Immigration” but the nuance might be lost to some people.

It Also how genetic diversity works. Which the nuance might also be lost to some people. But this is how complex organism cycle out traits they don’t use anymore and adapt to traits they do need. We call this Evolution.

But to say some population could control this process is laughable. I would think global warming would be our sign, we don’t have nature under control to that degree.

And for sure, not by people who are bouncing around the idea of population replacement as a real theory.
