What’s frustrating is that my insurance from work (US citizen) will cover the cost of the vaccine but not the person administering the vaccine meaning I still have to pay for shots even with insurance.

To be clear - this is for me (an adult) but I can imagine this this situation could impact adults with children as well. Some people are becoming anti vax, yes, but some might be affected by the ~~greed of insurance companies ~~ financial cost of vaccination

Hi, RN here…I know you didn’t ask for advice, but your post seemed like an opportunity to drop a tip for anyone with this or similar issue. If you’re having trouble paying for preventive care, especially vaccinations, reach out to your county or state department of health. They often run clinics where they will give vaccinations for no cost. It’s in the public’s best interest to have high vaccination rates, so they are often more than happy to hook you up.

This is great! I didn’t know that. Thank you, and I’ll definitely look into it for my state.
