Such a waste. Imagine the fabulous wealth of rare minerals and other resources we could gather by simply allowing the asteroid to collode with the planet.
Let’s not forget the jobs it would bring!
Well not all at once, you have to chop it up with drones using technobabble bombs first so only the smaller, not-world-ending pieces land safely.
/s, surely?
Don’t look up
Pretty much my internal monologue all day in response to everything I see and hear about the world.
The government released the following photo of the test set up:
In other news: …there’s an asteroid set to collide with earth?!?
It can’t get here soon enough.
It looks like the cursed love child of SpongeBob and a minion.
Oil rig drillers?
Wouldn’t it be easier to train Astronauts to drill instead of Drillers to Astro?
Michael Bay doesn’t like the way you think.
This better not create a Space Godzilla!
If you see some footage of a yellow object with a gleaming tip flying towards an asteroid, ya’ll know full well who he is.
Su-per-man?
Working on actual issues intead of bullshit, like other countries do.
What exactly do you expect a space agency to do?
JAXA hasn’t stopped inflation and wage stagnation yet! What’s wrong with them?!
There’s no inflation in space, just explosive decompression!
Some countries are getting lots of bullshit thrown at them though.
Love investing into sci-fi shit instead of improving the lives for average people.
One makes rich people richer faster, the other does not.
You do realise that an asteroid colliding with Earth is a real risk that could kill billions and potentially end all human life?
Lol, good talking point.
The Apollo program lead to some everyday inventions that has improved the lives for average people. Working on tough technical challenges can result in unexpected discoveries and inventions.
Those people won’t have lives if a giant asteroid collides with earth.
