Some of you will be laid off, but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing make make.
As if the old outlook app wasn’t as …. Oh Shit! This is more egregious
The Great Gatsby?
Use good sense, not common sense. “Common sense is constructed out of longstanding practices of cultural socialization often rooted deep in regional or national traditions. It is not the same as the ‘good sense’ that can be constructed out of critical engagement with the issues of the day. Common sense can, therefore, be profoundly misleading, obfuscating or disguising real problems under cultural prejudices” David Harvey.
Nah! It’s more like
Something good happens, something that we had a direct hand in bringing about, then, we take credit. We need not resort to primitive superstitions.
Something bad happens, especially something bad like global warming, which we know that we are the cause of, then, we take credit. We need not resort to primitive superstitions
A mere 390 light-years away 😂😂 Maybe someday
Yea, looks like over-volting damage. Maybe the voltage regulator failed. Just my guess
Exactly! I’m at a stage in my life where I just want my stuff to work. A decade ago, I would be installing betas the moment they were available . But that version of me is gone.
Also there has been nothing particularly blood pumping about OS update for good few years now.
Let me see if I can find it. LMG pumps out tons of videos
Yup, there’s a Linustech tip video about this. HDD prices have kinda been set in stone for a good while now
We can pile on Google for all their issues, But I’m not sure AR/VR is going to the next big thing.
AR/VR is a thing, and it will be bigger as the technology improves, but I think Google, Meta, Sony, Microsoft and Apple are looking for the next multi-billion dollars blowout tech, but it’s not clear if that’s gonna be AR/VR.
I know we are still early in the 9th gen console era, but this seems to be the trend.
Take a game that the gamers loved from the 6th and 7th gen console era, and heavily rework the graphics and the games mechanics.
A good deal of time has passed since gamers last played those games. So, they are combining a healthy dose of nostalgia, modern graphics and game mechanics into a potent blend to make the gamers pay up for what is essentially an old IP, just reheated.
From the dev / publishers perspective, is a very low risk and decently high reward undertaking. A no brainer essentially.
Why can’t you Linux folks just be happy and stay in your own world.
They won the battle, but they haven’t won the war. What u/spez’s actions have fomented, much like Elon Musk with Twitter is to create an opening for other platforms that would have never really had a chance at growing and competing with them.
It’s one of the reasons facebook moved quickly with threads(yes I know we dislike the likes of facebook), but Elon gave Zuck a freaking wonderful gift.
Hopefully, Lemmy picks up some serious steam.
The darkness spoke to me, and I listened 😈😈
Tight build, OP
Yup! Also you can pause updates for a given number of weeks. Windows also has update window within a 24hr timeframe
I thought this was just a US thing, but it appears that idiocy is on rise just about everywhere
