iirc it was the zarathustrians that invented heaven/hell, which looks more like carrot and stick than a scarecrow (if we really need to make an analogy)

i don’t have problems with gods being inventions, but i think the scarecrow image doesn’t correspond and “the logic of the meme” does not compute
