Despite what he’s said publicly, Trump has privately flirted with the idea of meeting Harris on the debate stage one more time, sources tell CNN. Several of his advisers have argued that it could serve as a way to make his case to the American people that Harris has had more than four years in office to fulfill the campaign promises she’s making now, a message that some of Trump’s allies didn’t think he pushed hard enough when they debated earlier this month in Philadelphia. [emphasis mine]

Because the VP is in charge and gets to decide policy, not a mostly ceremonial role.

He’ll take the bait. That’s what Cluster B personality disorders do, especially NPD. She’s playing him. And it will work.

I read a news article that billboards were placed around the debate venue criticizing trumps crowd sizes. So he went into that debate pre-baited.

She has his playbook. We all do. It’s called the DSM-5-TR. Cluster B.

We can only hope, but at this point I think it’s quite unlikely given how even Fox News Republicans recognize that the first didn’t go well.

To save some people a click

The Harris campaign has arranged to have a small plane fly over Tuscaloosa during the game with a banner declaring, “Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate.”

    […]

The Harris campaign will also air a national ad during one of the most highly anticipated games of college football where she calls on the former president to meet her on the debate stage one more time.

“Winners never back down from a challenge,” the ad’s narrator says. “Champions know it’s any time, any place. But losers, they whine and waffle and take their ball home.”

Cool and all but the best way to troll someone is not to tell them ahead of time.

No, the best way to troll someone is to tell them what you’re going to do, make it clear they can’t do anything to stop you or change your mind, and then follow through.

This is being done in an extremely intentional fashion.

It’s also underlining the value of freedom of speech, which I am also sure is quite intentional.

The bigger point is media attention to bring his dodge of a 2nd debate back into memory. Telling it ahead of time gives you twice the coverage on it: news that you’re going to do it and coverage after the fact once you have done it

Plus you’ll get more people filming and looking out for the plane too
