While Gaetz has repeatedly proven he is unbeatable in the Panhandle, the poll shows that in a statewide race, Gaetz would have a lot of work to do to win people over — not just with independents, but his own party too.

This is the problem. It doesn’t matter what all of Florida or even the country think of him. He’s a US Rep, and it only matters what his district thinks of him, and they apparently love having a pedophile as their representative.

I guess it means he would have no chance at the Senate or even being President, but this man still gets to vote on laws because of a bunch of idiots living in the Florida panhandle.

One in five Floridians actively want a child sex trafficker stealing public money. I believe that qualifies as good news these days.

Republicans are divided about Gaetz, with 36.3% of Republicans who disapprove and 36.6% of Republicans who approve.

That’s just enough for him to win the nomination, and we know Florida won’t elect a Democrat.

I think this is good news for Gaetz

These comments read like a bunch of people that have never been to Pensacola. Let alone Gulf Breeze.

What is his approval in his district? That’s all that matters. Also Florida is fucking stupid so they will vote for a child predator and cheer about it… you know because child predators protect the children

Well you need to be a paedophile to stop a paedophile, and besides the demonrats are worse… but not better at stopping the paedophiles, which we’re definitely not - excuse me - I have to stop by the child beauty pageant on the way to protesting in defence of being able to marry children.

What about in his district? Will this actually affect his chances at getting re-elected, or does it just dash his hopes of advancing to governor or senator?

I wouldn’t say he’s loved around here, but we’ll put anyone in office if they have an R tacked in front of their name.

His shenanigans made it impossible to get a huge no strings attached aid package to Israel before the eventual backlash kicked in.
