Maybe they think it’s not an unpopular opinion. (But yh, more likely they just don’t understand the concept of the community)

I have to agree with you on the second part. It really feels like people do not understand the concept after reading some comments.

Downvote if you find the post relatable or if you think the opinion is popular, otherwise upvote

The downvote button is either: “I disagree”, or “that’s stupid and you’re an idiot”. The up ote button is “I know, right?”

The downvote button is not supposed to be used as an “I disagree” (although that is how many people use it). Nor are you supposed to downvote something just because you personally don’t like it or the person that wrote it.

Downvotes are for posts that are irrelevant to the community/discussion at hand, trolling, arguements that are made in bad faith and that sort of thing.

If you really want a commenter to know that you disagree with them or that you think they’re stupid, you should reply to the comment with a well thought out counter argument of your own, not just “downvote and hope the comment gets hidden”.

That’s the difference between theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. That can say all they want what the votes were designed to mean, but they can’t force people to use them that way.

Please don’t let this community turn into the Reddit one where people downvote actual unpopular opinions. Good post OP, you weirdo

Or, you could leave people alone and not look at their belly button if that offends you.

What’s gross about it? It’s just skin. You have it too. Are you grossed out by your own skin? Why is face and arm and hand skin not gross, but belly and chest skin is? Is wearing shorts gross because you see leg skin?

Because if you look into it deep enough it will tell your fortune.

I can’t in good conscience keep that to myself.

Same. I’m a dude but quietly judge any other dude who has their shirt off in a public space. Beach? Fine, that’s kind of why we’re here. Running down the sidewalk? Put your shirt on you attention whore. It just seems… Extra

Running with a shirt on can get very uncomfortable and start chafing because of the sweat. I don’t think people taking a run with their headphones in are worried about what other people think

I’m a runner and never really had that problem. Then again, I’ve never been super buff. I think that’s why a lot of sports shirts are on the tighter side. To still uphold that social modesty while providing a barrier between skin to skin chaffing.

Sounds like you have been isolated from the human bodies form so it hasn’t normalized for you.

My dude, you’re supposed to clean it. Get some liquid Dial and go to town. Make sure you dry it thoroughly afterward.
