I’m currently replaying SNES games that I had in my childhood. I finished Goof Troop today. It… wasn’t as good as I remember. But it was fun slowly remembering how to solve the puzzles.

Did you play co-op? I’ve played it fairly recently with my wife and it was fun. That one and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Ooooh. Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a fucking spectacular game. I still have the one I got as a kid and I play it on SNES with my daughter when I can tolerate her running into stuff that gets us killed haha.

For real though, as much as I loved it as a kid, my memories playing it with her as she grew up and learned to game are some of my favorite.

That’s great. Those are precious memories for sure. There’s a NES game that was released in 2019 called Micro Mages. Really fun co-op for up to 4 players. My sons and I have gone through it together multiple times and have tried the hard mode, but good grief. Feels impossible! Still fun trying though.

Back in the '90s I played co-op with my sister, but this time I played solo. Idk, I just felt it was too easy, which is fine because it’s a kids game, but it just wasn’t that engaging for me.

I still enjoyed it for sure. But right before that I had played Mega Man X3, which imo still holds up very, very well by today’s standards. So it had a rough comparison. :)
