I can’t for the figure out how to get more than 3 hours of SOT. My battery is at a 100% health according to accubattery, and it was just replaced a few weeks ago so the battery is for sure good.
Whenever I check accubattery, it’ll give me a claim of how a full charge should give me 9 hours of SOT, but 3 hours later my battery is at 20% or lower. I add up the usage per app and it doesn’t add up.
I’ve got adaptive battery, adaptive connectivity, and adaptive charging turned on. I’m only using LTE since my carrier doesn’t do 5G either way. I’m usually at 50%-80% unless I’m out in the sun. I’ve tried resetting the learned behavior for adaptive battery as well, but that hasn’t changed anything.
It’s not even like my units defective because the one I bought first had a defective fingerprint sensor and had the same battery life.
Give me your secrets people, I just want my phone to last me the day.
Install GrapheneOS for free - battery life is incredible now.
GrapheneOS is mobile private & secure mobile operating system with Android app compatibility. Developed as a non-profit open source project.
I understand it’s ironic de-google phone/tablet with google hardware, but it just works better then anything else. Permission toggles, pin scrambling, auto-reboot, scopes, MAC randomization, isolated user profiles, longer passwords, sandboxed apps, open source firmware, no bloat & more.
It is very easy to install & also works on the pixel tablet. This has made my pixel 7 last days to weeks on a single charge.

Does the camera still work as well as on the factory image? I’ve been debating playing around with graphene for like a week now but that’s my biggest hangup. Don’t want to wipe my phone just to have to put it all back to factory.
What’s with the downvotes? You can install the same Google Camera app and just revoke a lot of the unnecessary privileges.
And I definitely agree with the user above. Battery life is definitely incredible with that OS.
Probably a stupid question to people that use the OS. 🤷♂️ Or they all have a bunch of free time and enjoy spending it re setting up their phone lol. One last question. Will I lose googles call screening? Idk if I could leave that again 😂 left it for a bit when I went to an S21 but couldn’t handle all the spam calls 😂
Not a stupid question at all. All of the stock google apps have been replaced after all.
Call screening does not work with the replacement app, but downloading the original “Phone by Google” app from the play store is an option.
I haven’t played around with it on this OS yet, but I may have to as the spam callers have definitely stepped up their game.
Ah ok. Let me know what you find out if you decide to test. My company phone is an iPhone and I feel like I get 10 calls a day on that thing. When I first switched back to a Pixel I feel like I got a ton that call screen handled but it’s not as bad anymore.
So far not looking so good. I couldn’t get the normal call screening up with just Google’s phone App. I think I need Google Assistant combined with the Google Phone app to get it… I’ll need to play around with it a bit more. Pobably over the weekend.

Thank you for testing and letting me know. I really appreciate it. I’ve want to degoogle myself more than I already am but everything is just so much easier through Google 😂
I worked on it for a bit, but no luck yet. It’s probably better to avoid switching to this OS if that’s a deal breaker, that or use a different call screening service.
Google adds so much stuff to the Pixel that it starts to feel like bloatware.
If I move to graphene OS then I’ll lose FRP right?
