Over The Garden Wall was removed from the Internet Archive and got pulled from some streaming services and reinstated on one… now is a great time to watch it if you still have access.

I hate that every fucking media company/distributor thinks they need their own fucking streaming service.

I remember when Netflix was actually amazing, so many movies and shows, docos, and now they have all been moved and Netflix is a piece of shit company funding some asshole making true crime a dramatic untrue retelling (Menendez brothers, and others).

And now shits being removed from the net. Enshittification ugh

        I fucking hate it too.

Anything not immediately profitable or would require residuals gets dumped, everything else gets hoarded until the only legal source is proprietary gated and then… possibly gets ditched anyway.

Yeah also the fragmentation and hot potatoing of ‘content’ to try and make you sign up for all of them.

I never bought into streaming and now don’t want to

Makes me sick, and thankful I have some physical media I love. I have a triple DVD of The Mummy 1 and 2 and The Scorpion King, as well as Aladdin and The King of Theives, my fav Aladdin/Disney movie. Rogue One and the original trilogy (the only ones that are canon to me lol). I just need the extended editions of Lotr and I’ll be set for life I think.

I stopped using Netflix during the lockdowns, when we noticed the enshittification encroaching. Now none of those services are worth the price of admission or subscription. 🤢
