There’s already ways of turning it off in Windows 11. And ways of disabling tracking, ads, etc. Just requires some scripts… Or just use the windows enterprise version.

By the time you go this way… You are a future Linux enjoyer, you just don’t know it yet.

Oh, agreed. If it wasn’t for amd64 windows only applications that I rely on for work or music production then I’d switch my Windows machine to Linux. Wine is unreliable especially for DAWs. Until that changes I’m stuck with windows :/

Sounds like there is a lot pentap demand for Linux haha

But yeah I aware that there is serious software gaps for professional and creative uses cases.

            One day!

Yeah, I dual boot but even then, but then when work is finished and I wanna watch a movie or browse something quick, it’s annoying to boot again into Linux. As a result Linux is my weekend OS.

First thing I did when I saw the Copilot button in Win11 was to ask Copilot how to disable it.

Quick gpedit or reg hack does the trick. Should be fine in Win10. Microsoft isn’t evil, they’re just assholes.

Great news everyone, some people have build this really cool alternative software that does like all the same things but without the disrespect. Bonus, you don’t need to get rid if your current setup. Just run it parallel and see for yourself where you feel more at home.

It’s been memed to death. You know its name.

They should use their damn AI stuff to learn not to steal focus when I’m in the middle of typing. Or to smartly arrange and resize windows.

I’ve done this upgrade already. Partially because one of my computers that shipped with windows 11 was unuseable because of how slow it was…

Oh no, a feature that I personally don’t want to use!

I could just turn it off… or I could install an entirely different operating system, that seems simpler.
