minus-squareSchmidtGenetics@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6arrow-down27·edit-27 months agoToo bad they aren’t readily accessible. All emergency vehicles should have them, but I imagine a lot of agencies skirt that requirement. Also, depending on the accelerant, it likely wouldn’t put them out, so you always need to be prepared for plan B. Sorry, reality sucks.
minus-squareDept@lemmy.sdf.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up18arrow-down3·7 months agoare fire extinguishers not legally required in all cars in the US? that’s dumb.
minus-squarescottywh@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up12arrow-down1·7 months agoThey’re not, but I’d wager they are required in 90+% of US police cars.
minus-squareBumblefumble@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up5·7 months agoI’m not saying it’s not a good thing to have, but where do you live where it’s legally required? Cause I’ve never heard of that.
minus-squarejmcs@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up1·7 months agoIt’s mandatory in roughly half of Europe.
minus-squareBumblefumble@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up1·7 months agoWhat half? Not in Northern Europe, that’s for sure.
minus-squarejmcs@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up1·7 months agoTIL Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland are not in Northern Europe.
minus-squareBumblefumble@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up1·7 months agoWell I knew that source is bullshit, cause that’s not true in those countries. I found this: https://fdm.dk/alt-om-biler/koer-selv-ferie/regler-udlandet/sikkerhedsudstyr-europa It lists them as recommended, not mandatory. So stop spreading misinformation. The only one of those countries where it’s mandatory is Poland.
