How prevalent is sleep paralysis? I can’t say I’ve ever experienced it, and I’ve definitely never seen any kind of sleep paralysis demon. Are yall ok?

Had it for years as a kid. Sometimes wake up paralysed 6-7times a night. Fucking ducked. It finally went away when I started ignoring the fear and going back to sleep.

I’ve had pretty severe sleep phase disorder and got it when I was really spent, about once a month.

For me at least it didn’t really look like a demon, it’s more of a feeling. That and exploding head syndrome is pretty awful. Didn’t get that too often.

Nowadays I’m on low dosage anti psychotics and I sleep when I want. I’m still not entirely caught up on missed sleep but my exploding and paralytic friends leave me alone, fortunately.

The one time it happened to me, I was wearing a sleep mask. I felt strongly that someone entered my room and was walking towards me even though I couldn’t see anything. It was really intense. The moment I was able to move again and take off my mask, I realized what happened and was a bit disappointed I didn’t get to see what horror my paralysis demon would end up being.

Give that motherfucker some wild strands of hair standing on his head, put his minions all over the walls crawling around, and this is honestly my sleep paralysis demon. Like holy shit, they’re probably twins.
