The only thing I can think of is that people seem to be under the impression that taxing the rich will put more money into their own pockets, which definitely won’t happen. The government is too corrupt to allow that to happen. Taxing the rich is a good thing, but it won’t help the rest of us, not with the way the government has been run for multiple decades.
Unfortunately even if they tax wealthy people, they money will go to the defense budget or to Isreal
