She remembers driving with me in the carseat as her beater Ford Focus was floating down the road lmao and that there was really no help for the people there after.
I do recall also hearing something about people either killing themselves or the medical professionals just intentionally overdosing people on morphine because there was zero government assistance and it was the most humane thing to do (as opposed to letting them die of horrible infection, starvation, or whatever other injuries they sustained)
