I opened up lemmy at work and my boss saw this over my shoulder. Fml
Have you since been promoted?
I’ll say it again, I like using Linux as much as I like using subs
…pardon me, but what does “subs” mean in this context
does it mean what I think it means
If you think it means submissive people who like to be dommed in bed, then you’d be correct

I can take a deep look at your system, I can make sure everything works with some regular, thorough maintenance

I think I’ll start with a live boot, so let me insert my drive. I’ll take the back port though, front usb is fiddly sometimes.
You have crashed the sub-sytem
As long as it’s crashing at my place
Stooop. My Kernel can’t take any more teasing 😭😭😭

I do indeed :3
The real reason Tim Sweeney’s afraid of Linux.
He knows it will corrupt him
People talking about an os like it’s their damn personality.
Free(as in libre) software movement IS my personality
Whatever gets the job done, frankly.
There’s things Linux excels at. There’s things Windows is better at. Hate me for saying that, but I use what’s needed and is better and quicker for the task.
I honestly try to use Linux whenever possible as I do not like giving away too much data to Microsoft. Sometimes windows is the only option so I have a vm ready. Nowadays Linux support is at a much better place as I don’t need bare metal windows
I am intrigued by your response. I agree completely - gotta pick a right tool for a job, but in my experience Windows is only good at running software that is locked-in by a vendor. E.g. I would use Windows to develop for .NET stack. I am a software engineer, so my experience is limited like that. When you were thinking about things that Windows is right for, what examples came into you mind?
