U.S. Senate Republicans moved to block a ban on assault-style weapons put forward by Democrats on Wednesday, as the United States recorded the highest number of mass shootings for the second year in a row.

I’m not American so it’s not my “freedom” it extols, I’ll enjoy MY freedoms in a country that banned assault weapons after the first mass shooting. That way I’m free to live without that fear so many Americans have when the school doors click at an unusual minute.
