Yeah, I don’t reckon I need to listen to a 4 hour podcast for the answer.
I would also like to die on this hill.
Lemmings is dumb. Lamingtons is rad.
Later, the name hashtags, in American English this symbol #️⃣ was
alwaysbest known as the pound key. It was also known as an Octothorpe.
The first time I learned of its American naming was the classic “pound quake 3 arena” audio clip from the #quake3arena IRC channel.
“Uhhhhhh pound quake 3 arena”
“… What the hell was that?”
It’s not the first sperm that fertilises an egg… The first who make it put in all the effort breaching the wall and dying of exhaustion before some lazy piece of shit sperm towards the end just waltzes through the hole and does the needful.
Explains a lot tbh
Ironic
… And my axe!
Edit: I said the funny line, updoots to the just please
How do I opt in for the ball fondling?
I wish the government would be more proactive in encouraging local manufacturing.
You know a great way to ensure a product is free from modern slavery? Produce it locally where nothing is obscured.
I’m actually surprised the robot mowers dont just bump off them to be honest, my Husqvarna 450X is barely an inch off the ground and just bumps in to anything higher than that then spins around and goes in another direction
I prefer to argue on the internet via my phone, which I can type pretty fast on thanks to the swipe to type
I’m the opposite… I rarely reply when I’m on my phone because swiping and tapping away at the touchscreen keyboard is so slow and inaccurate. I spend more time correcting swypos than I do writing I think.
Meanwhile on the desktop I can punch out a shining example of wit (or at least a spoonerism of that) at 100+ wpm at 100% accuracy.
Sent from my phone, slowly.
Pretty much never. Direct family only really.
Talking is for IRL, or actually urgent things. Everything else is a message or email.
Don’t ring me to discuss an email.
voice call
Yeah, nah
It’s a black rectangle!
*gasps of admiration*
After reading the site, I’m still not entirely sure how to use it.
Is there a decent demo site somewhere? The examples they show are very simplistic
I dislike a lot of things about the CFMEU, but the way the Labor Government (of all people!) is trying to squash the whole movement is way worse.
The annoying thing is if this puts people in large organisations like CFMEU and ETU off Labor, are they going to vote Liberal? That would be worse again.
If the CFMEU and ETU is going to “punish” Labor for this move I hope they don’t end up cutting off their nose to spite their face.
A placard at Tuesday’s CFMEU rally in Brisbane featured a cartoon drawing of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese with a Hitler moustache and the word “Albanazi” beneath it.
Nice
“A voice note is just like talking on the phone but better,” says Susie Jones, a 19-year-old student. “You get the benefits of hearing your friend’s voice but comes with no pressures so it’s a more polite way of communicating”.
Gross, voice notes are the worst of both worlds.
Text for things that are information critical, phone calls for things that are time critical.
Email for business (and keep the original chain going instead of starting a new one every time you think of something else to add!), text messages for associates, chat apps for friends and family.
Anyone who disagrees is wrong.
5/10, which I mostly blame on not caring about celebrity news stories.
I used to buy books from Booktopia a lot, because reading text on LCD / LED screens is horrible.
But then I discovered epaper devices and the convenience of carrying your entire library around in something half the size of a single paperback.
Surprised there’s still a big enough demand for physical books to be honest.
The irony of an American lecturing another country on finding an alternative to shooting.
