  • “Self hosting their own movies and TV series from legally owned, ripped copies from their own DVD and BluRay collection”

Ngl, whenever they say that they be doing that in said videos I smirk a lil. Yeah sure, that’s what you say when you’re in front of the camera&recording a video pointing out what others could be doing as well. All while they likely got stuff obtained from the seven seas on there as well, just like folk that are going to replicate that setup are going to have as well. Let’s not kid ourselves, a whole lot of content is only legally accessible via streaming services with no other options (shortly before it gets removed from the streaming services, leaving no legal way to access it), and that amount is becoming more each and every single day 😅

  • I was talking more abt “Oh noo I can’t ask folk for support when it comes to getting that game to run in Proton cause it’s a porn game and they’re gonna laugh at me!”, not abt the fact that it isn’t native. My point basically is: Why treat it any different in that regard from any other game that yer trying to run through proton? Yeah sure it’s a porn game, but who like actually cares? Proton is supposed to make games run on linux, and a porn game is a game.

  • Seriously, just do it. Most folk don’t give a fuck (I sure as hell don’t). There’s a game that isn’t running on linux, and folk wanna help to get games runnin on linux. That’s all there is to it, really. Are there going to be comments going “haha porn game” from immature folk? Ofc. But those can just be downvoted/ignored entirely, like… who cares? So really it’s all up to whether ya want for folk to know that yer playin those or not, but like at the end of the day? Let’s just be adults bout it, shall we?

  • Just banning PTFE outright isn’t gonna go well, it just has way too many useful applications. As a lubricant for example (tho fully enclosed uses there are def preferred obviously), or for uses where the fact that it’s practically non-reactive is very much important. Phasing out PTFE coatings for non stick pans&things like that? Sure, that we can do. Basically… reduce it’s use to applications where it actually makes sense to do so&where there is no such thing as a practical “just use something else that doesn’t share the same environmental issues!”
