So we also managed to avoid having all those machines ending up in landfills, polluting the soil and waterways because providers of proprietary OSes only want you to buy new stuff and ignore the impact on the environment.

KDE provided the software that allowed to recover machines that had been obsoleted by the successive updates from Microsoft Windows, and this made possible for the CACD to carry out the program.

We provided support and advice so that the teens could familiarise themselves with open source software, saving them from being trapped in the proprietary cycle of buy new hardware, update, be forced to buy new hardware, update, rinse and repeat.

Plasma 6 tars were made available to packagers yesterday. So, yes, distro packagers and OEM installers already have the software and are installing it now ready for next Wednesday’s official release.

Of course! Also, Plasma Mobile is getting an update to Plasma Mobile 6 at the end of February.
We also used it in an animation - but, again, only in the context of the campaign.

We asked a designer to make a logo we could use for the Plasma 6 _CAMPAIGN_, not for Plasma 6 itself.
We asked for something that would remind people of the Plasma logo (a folded piece of paper with three dots), but that also looked like a 6. This what they came up with.
So no, not the new Plasma logo.
Sorry.
We will keep the campaign open so, even if you can’t donate by the deadline, you can still get a chance to be mentioned in our acknowledgements later on in the Plasma 6 series.
You make it possible for us to do more and better things for our community and users.
We are also nearing completion of the Supporting Members campaign. Only 16 more to go!:
