Exactly the same. Photos in all devices (except work, obvs) file shared on iCloud is on all devices, I’m hooked into the ecosystem now.

I mean isn’t that what all big companies do to each other? If iPhone is regarded as the first smartphone then technically all other ones are copying them.
I’m not a purist or anything, just see how all major players end up fairly uniform outside of some niche bits and bobs.
I get the idea of federation etc now in terms of the fediverse but when something is defederated does that just mean it’s not integrating with all the others/the one I am currently on?
Like I am on Lemmy.world and for arguments sake I can view posts etc on Lemmy.bullshit cos it’s federated. Then Lemmy.bullshit ends up being full of nutballs and Lemmy.world admins cut ties with them so I can no longer see their stuff from my instance and is now ‘defederated’, is that right?
Awesome work! Always in awe of space and terrified of it at same time.
Temperamental? Like sometimes I would get an email and it wouldn’t show on the app but if I logged in to iCloud in the web it would be there. Also sometimes it hangs when refreshing but these problems seem to be less than previously.
Used to use Gmail, moved over to Icloud mail when I made the switch to Apple. I love how it scans the mail to add any event into my calendar if I want it to.
Sometimes a wee bit temperamental though
I think like anything it depends where you go. I’ve been great places up here and rubbish places and the same for down south of the border. Worth checking out the bridges for sure! And Roman and Celtic sites, a bunch of them!!
We have three bridges next to each other from three different centuries! The Queensferry Crossing was the one you were on, built about 5 years ago. The one next to it is the old Road Bridge and the furthest away that is red diamonds is the rail bridge, it was built in the 1800’s and is one of a kind, unofficial wonder of the modern world.
Did you visit the Forth Bridge while you were here? Another marvel of engineering!!
You know it’s one of those things, I live about 40 minutes from here and have never visited it. Nor the Kelpies nearby. Impressive engineering.
I enjoy Mastodon as a Twitter replacement. I share whatever nonsense is in my head and react to other peoples nonsense too.
Following hashtags is a great way to find like minded people and because there is no monetisation there are no companies or promoted tweets etc.
I don’t think it’s on the fediverse but Squabbles has been a terrific Reddit replacement for me.
Checkmate, Eorlingas.
It worked on at least one! Huzzah!
My wife’s late grandfather was from Latvia, displaced during the Second World War, I always enjoy reading things about the country and relaying them on to her.
Passion for dance is a really cool thing to have in my book, preserves something that words doesn’t.
