I hate finding cockroaches in my home but I’ve definitely found an appreciation for them in general. They’re pretty important to the world’s ecosystem.

Tier lists originated in video game culture pretty much. It’s a way to try to subjectively rank things within a game by its viability. The s tier thing comes from Japan I believe, where in some academic cases they give an S grade for excellent performance. In the context of tier lists the reason there might be a S+ tier is because some characters might be really really good and are in S tier but some characters are just way better than everyone else and are in a league of their own.
To be fair, climbing up in trees isn’t gonna save you from a bear.
Patriots, Traitors and Empires: The Story of Korea’s Fight for Freedom by Stephen Gowans is a pretty good book. Been a while since I read it but it was very eye opening and a good read.
I enjoy watching a couple of sports but my main one is basketball. Favorite team is the San Antonio Spurs even though I’m not from that area of the US. Became a fan of them in the early 2010s because I liked their style of basketball back then.
Also I’ll always post “The Beautiful Game” tribute video whenever I have the chance.
It’s not just sleeping a consistent amount but also sleeping at consistent times. Waking up at 5:30 after 8 hours can feel decent if you consistently do it for a bit.
Currently reading Open Veins of Latin America. I knew of the exploitation the colonizers and imperialists did but reading the stats and stories of the earlier periods just makes my jaw drop. I also wasn’t aware in the 1800s after Paraguay kicked out the Spanish, they were the only nation in the continent that wasn’t controlled by foreign capital and were pretty self sufficient. Obviously that wasn’t acceptable to the imperialists so the British helped fund Brazil and Argentina to start a war with Paraguay. Paraguay lost and have been under the boot of imperialists since then.
Favorite genres are definitely Rap and RnB but I’ll listen to some house music every once a while. Been getting into Reggaeton and Afrobeat the last couple of years and been liking those a lot.
Obviously you’re free to dislike how genres sound but I feel like that’s an oversimplification of the genre. It’s not just people saying words really fast, there are plenty of slower rappers. It’s more about the flow and the wordplay not to mention there’s a decent amount of artists that do a sing/rap thing at the same time.
I don’t really care how old someone is as long as they have control of their mental faculties and they continue to serve the people. But obviously in a capitalist country as the USA that isn’t the case. Same thing with term limits, if they continue to do their job well I don’t care. Obviously I’m speaking about socialist countries though so if a person like Xi (who’s 70) continues doing a good job I’m all for them continuing being in their position.
Definitely agree with all your points, set and setting are incredibly important when it comes to psychedelics. Also yeah I’ve read about lemon tek before but have not tried it myself, mostly cuz like I said I haven’t felt the want to trip but also because I saw that lemon tekking increases the strength of the trip and I don’t particularly want a strong trip lol.
On the topic of it losing the magical experience, I personally feel like it’s all about how often you do it and at what point in your life. It’s not a very scientific way of looking at it but I feel like the shrooms have to “call to you” in a way. I guess what I mean by that is you should have the want to do it not just because but because you feel like it’ll help you in your life. I haven’t had the want to trip in about 3 years but that has recently changed.
Balkan Odyssey is a weird (weird in the idk what to think about them sense) one imo. They’ve got some good videos but I remember watching their “What do we do with former socialism” video and they had some bad opinions. The one I remember off the top of my head was that they said
“Marxists-Leninists, or Stalinists, for the lack of a better term […]”
