“Dark Histories” has some disturbing ones, as it is usually about strange events or Indeed murders, but the descriptions of the episodes allow you to weed through it, and leave those ones out.
I really enjoyed the ones about “Gef the mongoose” or the disappearance of the man who invented the first moving pictures. It goes deep into the history and times surrounding the stories which is very cool, so its main focus is history and society.
Why does this have so many down votes? Am I missing something?
Denmark checking in
I really mistrust any picture I see online now. It’s scary I think. I’m still not convinced about this one.
It’s the “hee, hee” I am pretty sure. I also automatically read it in a MJ voice.
The flower duet. Used in countless movies: https://youtu.be/8Qx2lMaMsl8?feature=shared
The only real answer for me as well.
Oh my god, I loved Connections! It really was a great show.
They were “shh” back in the day, but with time they have become more of a place for activity for the community. When I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s they were definitely more strict with keeping quiet, especially in the reading halls. Library history is actually quite interesting, and the whole development of the library as a key element in building and supporting democracy and community, is worth looking into.
I think he’s just a poorly drawn pickle :(
Interesting question, I hadn’t thought about that. I assume they mean dingos.
"Australia’s Indigenous community has had a long relationship with dogs, dating back to the dog’s ancestor, the dingo. Dingo fossils in Australia date back thousands of years, and the first British settlers in 1788 recorded dingoes living with Indigenous Australians"
And dingos are a dog breed
I haven’t found anything like that on Lemmy. I recently got into meetup.com though.
The same for me (but 8 hour workday). Honestly, I couldn’t do the job if the working non-stop days were the default. I am wasted after such a high-stress day, so I need it to fluctuate. I also don’t feel bad on days where I do less, because I know I do a 110% on the other days. A workday is simply too long to be productive the whole time and the workload usually varies.
Am I the only one who thinks there haven’t been big 'mistakes" in their life, just, you know, life? I mean, sure, there are things I would do differently given the chance, but not something I would call big mistakes. I would definitely go for the money - I would even pay money not to have to go though my teens again lol
Then there are at least two of us!
I can’t see the whole plant and I could be wrong, but you could have a variegated Monstera on your hands.

My own Monstera is doing well, and I don’t water it too often. Usually once a week and limited. But I have the feeling that all plants are a little different. It could also lack nourishment.
I know it’s a joke and I appreciate the meaning of the original comment, but I don’t think you need to constantly challenge yourself to enjoy life. Sometimes it’s ok to sit back and enjoy what you have and what you know. Just as long as you don’t settle and forget to be open to new things that could enrich that life.
Also a lot of legally blind people use the internet both privately and professionally and are independent people who don’t rely on their partners for everything.
