Truthfully, it was my least favorite of all of the Lemmy apps. I didn’t like it’s user interface. Was it recently updated?

I was going to switch from lemmy.world to lemmy.ml but disappointed that I’d be losing all my comment & post history. Not to mention you have to re-subscribe to all your communities again.
You could compare it to some subreddits that were private long before the API debacle.
They wanted to curate a very specific community (subreddit) and didn’t want folks with differing opinions inside.
Was this tweet removed? I can’t find it.
I feel like there isn’t a “hive mind” on Lemmy like there was/is on Reddit. Even if just a few folks disagreed with your opinion on Reddit, everyone else felt like they HAD to downvote it too and then the next thing you know, you’re being downvoted to oblivion. Here, it seems that folks actually respect your opinion whether or not they agree with it; and while you may get a few downvotes or more, people aren’t afraid of upvoting your comment either.
Such a different vibe and I’m here for it!
The admin of lemmy.world, @ruud@lemmy.world has voiced on Mastodon.world that we are not going to defederate from Threads just yet. He wants to “wait and see”, which of course offers mixed feelings from folks.
I went as far as deleting my entire reddit post and comment history, and then I deleted my reddit account.
And it’s funny because I’ve already spent more time on Lemmy than I ever did in 6 years on Reddit. Something about it just sucks you in.
Post quality on Lemmy is so much better.
That makes so much sense. Thank you! 🙂
I’ve historically been a lurker because I’m too lazy to comment most of the time. However, I’ve been trying to participate on Lemmy more than I did on Reddit in an effort to boost the fediverse and really turn this into the Reddit replacement that I want it to be.
Folks want to see an active community.

I’ve found Jerboa to be the best out of all the apps but still not perfect.
I don’t like reddit but I think this is the right move.
I hope reddit stands their ground and refuses to give up the information unless they are forced to.
THANK YOU. I’M SO GLAD I FOUND THIS.
I can’t stand Windows 11’s start menu because I feel like it’s too basic up-front, and then when you search anything, it’s completely ad ridden. I’ve been using Startisback to fix this; however, I never really liked the start menu from Windows 7 and prior. The W10 start menu has always been my favorite.
What applications do you use to modify it, if you don’t mind me asking?
Absolutely. It isn’t all that much different than reddit once you get used to it.
I dabbled with Jerboa, Thunder, Liftoff, Connect, and wefwef.
I like Jerboa the most.
