Consider how much you don’t want to go get it yourself. Put an actual dollar amount on that. If it’s just a buck or two, bite the bullet and just go get it. Otherwise, tip that amount.

I think a lot of people $10 don’t want to go get their own food when they’re considering delivery.

George Carlin, who I think is still widely regarded as one of the greats, had a “rape can be funny” bit that I doubt would fly today because a whole lot of us have a better understanding of how rape jokes harm victims. Doing harm to such a group is, or at least should, never the goal of a quality comedian. That’s why they’re not generally made by comedians except the “you just can’t take a joke” type.

You can absolutely criticize without doing harm to open wounds. There’s space between not being allowed to criticize and not being allowed to joke.

Maybe you need something like the more power a group has the more they need to be able to bear being the target of joking. That’s why a white, Christian, American man is a far cleaner target.

I also don’t agree that Finn was a minor character, he was a regular focal point in two movies much to the annoyance of the same conservative groups.

I’m by no means suggesting Disney is anywhere in the neighborhood of acceptable. Gay characters have a tendency to be tiny roles or unpromoted movies (I watch a lot of movies and I hadn’t seen anything for Strange World before it released). I’m just saying “never” is probably inaccurate for modern Disney.

You can’t. You can do better sometimes but there will still be hiccups. As far as I’m aware the groups most likely to be actually consistent have been playing together since they were in school.

This isn’t meant to be discouraging at all! The opposite in fact. Don’t let those hiccups, common or rare, stop you. Just be aware of their possibility and ready to adapt. Ability to adapt is the most useful tool in the GM toolbox at the table and approaching it.
