I mean responsible card owners pay their statement in full every month. It’s a great way to get purchase protection and cash back or reward miles. This is more like splitting payments over multiple months, and if you do that with a credit card APR you’re getting a terrible bargain.
I work in tech, and have had multiple employees claim they only have “dumb” phones for what I’m pretty sure is this exact reason. And I never blame them, just put the heat on IT to find a solution.
Is there a picture of the phone under the seat?
Homie brought receipts
It wins by a huge margin on the energy to weight ratio. In scenarios where weight doesn’t matter it’s dumb, but there is potential in places like air travel where it does make sense.

There’s a lot of incredible American- made cheeses, usually from more local cheese makers. Wisconsin and Vermont are the most fampus for their cheeses, but every state probably has good cheesemakers and there are some pretty good national brands. But the main cheese section at your typical grocery store is mostly just mass-produced cheap cheese that is probably more what you’re referring too, which is fine for most uses (e.g. cooking) but eaten alone i would describe as perfectly fine but not great. A lot of grocery stores have a nicer cheese section, but it’s usually in a section of the store more with other small bites.

This is fucking hilarious. One of the most legitimataly funny XKCDs I’ve seen.
Yeah I think we just need more users. I mean a lot of my niche ones exist on here, which mean other users have already cared enough to start it up, but there’s just not enough people to get them active.
Yeah hard agree with this. Old reddit sucks on mobile unfortunately while new reddit sucks everywhere but is nonetheless slightly more usable on mobile (especially with ublock and a few other plugins). I am very hopeful we keep growing over here so the niche communities can start to get traction and I can stop going over there entirely.
It’s mostly landing/takeoff records. Big airports have takeoff and landing fees and would keep records such as this for accounting and legal reasons. Being a major airport like LAX means it’s probably mostly private/commercial jets, but also plenty of small time hobbyist aviators are probably wrapped up in this, and would be the only victim here ( general aviation pilots tend to use smaller, local airports but still on occasion hit the big ones).
You apparently haven’t tried calling local government agencies in mid-size cities, or a good chunk of airlines. It’s frustrating and I welcome anything that can help.
Who knew, you can establish a healthy relationship with alcohol with your kids if you don’t treat it like some Forbidden fruit.
