Having to install steam at all was my issue with it back then. Game launchers/storefronts felt like a tacked on way to sell you on more bullshit and I hated it. Plus, with my Internet speed back then, it would’ve taken like 2 days to download the orange box haha.
Anyone else remember The Orange Box? Three fun games in one box that just worked. Holy shit have times changed…
You still needed steam to make it work, at the time that really pissed me off lol
