Seems your carrier might be pushing those on your device

If you’re with T-Mobile; another major pain in the ass is known as
AppSelector. Check inSettings > Appsfor this pest andDisableit!!~I’m on TMo and don’t have that - but I also brought my own device. Would it be hiding under another name or am i good?

Pixels do not have these problems; as they’re 100% pure, unmitigated GOOGLE Android.
You won’t have this problem with Pixels; Google explicitly forbids it.

Actually, it looks like it was Verizon in this case. For what they charge, you’d think they wouldn’t stoop so low.
I recommend buying a Motorola (Edge) phone, they don’t have any crap on their phones and I they have great battery time.

Or get a Pixel and install GrapheneOS on it! It’s nice to feel in control of my phone. Almost every app on my device is open source (with the exception of Instagram and FB Messenger, sadly my social circles use these exclusively to communicate) and for those closed-sourced, sketchy apps, I can set which permissions they have super easily.
Yeah, that would be nice!
