The figure is notably small for someone who has held the position of vice president.

Sold his soul to be give Trump “legitimacy” with Evangelicals and within four years he’s been abandoned for actually sticking to some kind of principles and not going along with a stupid coup attempt.

Pence is a coward. He does nothing to set the record straight in public. His legacy is one of damage and destruction to the US. Anti-democratic religious weirdo. I hope his vision is never implemented.

Just to put this in some context, former GOP vice president, and year 2000 presidential candidate that year, raise $2 million for his own year 2000 presidential run. Or to say another way, $400k more than Pence in 2023:

“Through April, however, Quayle continued to poll in the single digits.[4][3] On April 8, Reuters reported that Quayle’s campaign had raised over $2 million, placing him behind Bush and McCain (who had raised approximately $7 million and $4 million, respectively), but ahead of candidate Gary Bauer, who had raised about $1.4 million.”

    source

That $2m is not even inflation adjusted. Adjusted for 2023 inflation Quayle raised $3,543,658.54. For those that didn’t live through those times, Quayle was NOT a popular candidate.

Hell, I even forgot he was VP while he was still in office.

He pissed off far-righters by not being Trumpy enough, and everyone else just forgot he existed. This is not surprising.
