Google’s Pixel phones still largely make up a small portion of the smartphone market, but slowly the devices are growing...

While in other parts of the world it’s mostly at the expense of other Android phone manufacturers, it’s interesting to see that in Japan the Pixel is actually eating at the iPhone’s market share:

In Japan, the Pixel went from a 2% market share in Q2 2021 to 12% in Q2 2023, while the iPhone fell from 58% to 46% in the same period.

    I didn’t even realize Sharp made phones. I guess it does make sense to rank that and Sony, since they’re both Japanese brands.
