The mods at 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone decided they didnt like the rules at Lemmy.blahaj.zone, and wanted to move to Lemmy.world.
Lemmy.world is… We’ll just say not great for lgbtqia+, especially in consideration of the “teach the controversy” rule that was coming from the admins and is “currently being reworded”.
Those mods closed 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone, and tried to force everyone to .world. Thus was met with… Disagreement.
They reopened 196@Lemmy.blahaj.zone, but the damage was done, and trust was lost. !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone was created as the safe alternative from the mods who wanted the ability to allow problematic commenters.

I need to shop around for apps again and find one that allows you to hide communities from the feed instead of outright blocking them. Because I’d like to still visit the onehundredandninetysix community from time to time, just not have it showing up in feeds. Because especially in Blåhaj, it just overpowers everything else in the local feed, so you barely get to see the topics that the instance actually revolves around. And now there’s fucking two of them.

Not really, another user explained it, but 196 at blahaj and world needed to be splintered from because of the mods, and the one on pawb is sprcifically for furry memes. 19684 i think also has a specific gimmick but im not sure what it is. So none of them are really interchangeable
