I figure they must suffer from some pretty bad cognitive dissonance. But it seems like for a lot of them, ignorance really is bliss.

Being a working class, autistic socialist living in the imperial core during late crapitalism and the never ending housing and cost of living crises is a constantly worsening nightmare.

Obviously once you’ve developed class consciousness, there’s no going back. And I think I was born class conscious. Just, over time my material understanding of my own and the world’s circumstances has become more detailed and nuanced - due to theory consumption and just, y’know, resisting being brainwashed by crapitalist/simperialist propaganda.

But honestly, at 40, living with my aging, deeply ignorant, narcissistic and petty Boomer mother (who I nonetheless love very much), unemployed, single going on 8 years now - I (often) feel like I’m at the end of my rope.

I guess I could really use some support from comrades right now if y’all don’t mind.
