It improved slightly with opengl but it’s still very slow to render offline maps after years.

    Try grapheneos on your pixel. Performance will be night and day. They have an installer on their website so simple a monkey could do it

      Thanks. I already run gos.even on pixel 9 now.

      I use map tiles now. And whenever I want to look at an area, I change the map.
