Over 144,000 workers are set to strike on September 14 if negotiations with their employers, the car manufacturers General Motors, Stellantis, and Ford, fail. The union has already employed the tactic of practice pickets at auto plants in Detroit, Michigan and Louisville, Kentucky
I think you can stomach one inconvenience that will go away the sooner the striker’s demands are met. IMO, anyone who gets upset because of the impact of a strike should publically support said strike’s demands and say it’s specifically because it’s the fastest way to get back to “normal”.
Didn’t say I wouldn’t. It’s more that I’m annoyed there’s already high traffic in the area because our shit government can’t finish a construction job the right way the first time. I want the workers to get what they want and for the construction to be done. Simple as that.
I wish the best for them but damn this is going to make driving around Sterling Heights suck.
