okay, I just have one question: Who is the target audience here? I really don’t get it. They show a naked elf but the elf looks like that. The show someone with fat-positive disposition but they fat-shame her in the plot.

I wonder if it’s just a throwaway production hoping to go viral? I used to see a lot of art from the manga in a sort of “yo wtf is this? lol” kind of way. Maybe they’re banking on that meme potential, hoping it will be sufficiently attention grabbing to get people talking?

They might have gotten unlucky in that regard in that they are airing the same season as Nokotan. That show has really sucked all the meme air out of the room this season.

I haven’t watched it because this is my question as well. For the first time this might be the anime where I would explicitly search for the censored version if I did decide to watch it, but considering the plot that I am aware of, it doesn’t make sense to me who this is designed for.

Overweight people probably won’t like it for obvious reasons. Average anime viewers probably won’t watch it because there are other anime with arguably better or interesting plots.

To me, this is a desperation show. This is the show I would expect the only person to watch it is either a person with a fat fetish, or a person who has already watched literally everything else.

Yeah, but you don’t cater to people with a fat-fetish by having the plot be basically “diet and work out so you can look good again”. It’s so strange.

Unless it’s an excuse to put the fat girl in nekkid situations, and add more fat girl characters.

And have their clothes split and rip suggestively, as we saw in this episode.

I was expecting something slightly lewder, considering the source (Methonium’s manga series). Or longer, the episode has effectively, like, 10min?

I’m probably dropping this series midway, but for now it’s interesting enough to keep going on.

Ecchi comedy with fat girls, nipples and jiggle, uncensored.

Notably very short episode length at 11m00s, including OP and ED.

Not particularly interesting, unless you’re really into this sort of thing.
