So not only did He want the pope shot, he wanted it to hurt. Which leads to the other way around: If an omnipotent God wants him shot again, then it will happen. No bullet proof vest or glass is going to stop God’s will. So why bother?
Also…he took two bullets, if his God wanted him dead he had the opportunity.
