For me it has to be:
- Helix mattress ($1,217). Sleep is great.
- Home gym power cage & weights (~$1,000). Look good, feel good, get strong.
- Netgear Nighthawk AXE7800 ($339). No more random, annoying internet disconnects/slowness.
- Books ($0 @ library)
- “Ultralearning” - Scott Young (how to learn efficiently)
- “Enlightenment Now” - Steven Pinker (the world overall is improving)
- “The Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing” - Taylor Larimore (how to invest)
- PS5 ($500). So many great games like witcher 3, god of war, spiderman.
I’m searching for some more deep value purchases. Give me what you’ve got.
Do you want to play games but do not feel that motivated to turn on your pc? Then the steam deck is great for you. I went from maybe playing on the weekend to play pretty much any time I want to chill in the sofa. I travel a lot so now I can play anywhere. I still play games on my pc that is better with keyboard and mouse (the pads works for slower games) and games that only works on windows, but that isn’t many haha
Why are you unsure?
It’s the price but I’ve also got a fairly decent setup already at home, so I think I’d only use it on my commute.
I thought so too. But here I am playing on my deck games like deathloops and other graphical demanding games while my gaming pc got an identity crisis 😂
But if the price is too high then you shouldn’t buy it. There will be more sales in the future :D
My desktop rig is looking a little long in the tooth (i7 8700k, EVGA 1070 FTW Edition) but it can still keep up since I don’t rush to every brand new triple-A release. My problem is that I filled it to the brim with samples and music software a while back and actually had to start uninstalling games to make more space. Steam Deck solved that problem! lol
