No one is saying we should eliminate music programs or that we should teach toddlers about healthcare plans. The tweet is making this thing called a --checks notes-- joke, that also conveys the message that schools could teach more practical skills that young adults will need going forward.
Are you sure you just don’t remember the full course? Ours did sewing and cooking but also how to write a check, budget, etc. There was also a section on interpersonal relationships and a section on nutrition. We made cinnamon rolls instead of pretzels though.
