So I would like to relock the bootloader on my galaxy tab s6 lite 2022. I have the official Samsung software still on it. I couldn’t do the update without plugging in the tablet using smart switch. I would like to be able to do OTA updates again.

I have a MacBook if that matters. I tried to Google it but for some reason had an issue finding an answer.

I don’t know if I’m missing something but I can’t get it to relock. All I did was unlock the bootloader and try to flash TWRP but I couldn’t manage it with a Mac. So I gave up pretty quick and now just have an unlocked bootloader. I’ve tried to relock it but I’ve been having no luck. In the terminal on my Mac it shows up as fastboot and adb devices as it should but when trying to do the relock commands it just fails. It’s been a couple months since I last tried but I find it annoying having to use smart switch to update now.

If you’re curious I can try it again and figure out the error again. I was curious if I was missing something which is why I posted this

Sometimes unlocking the bootloader is a irreversible process. I had to get lucky and someone leaked the factory DFU-mode software for my particular phone, and that was the only way to re-lock it. Others tried to re-lock their bootloaders and ended up with a complete and unrecoverable brick. If those commands aren’t working for you, it’s possible you’re just on a newer version that disallows relocking. I don’t know why the downvotes, because you’re at least looking to educate yourself; but you may have to consider that you cannot relock the bootloader as a possibility.

Appreciate the comment. Yeah I had a thought for whatever reason I may be stuck with it unlocked but it’s whatever. I can just plug it in every few months to update, it’s no big deal. Wouldn’t want to risk bricking the device since those commands did not work
