no one actually gives a fuck
Considering the fuss people make about gender neutral terms, as well as the whole master/slave, blacklist/whitelist thing, I’d say it’s not totally improbable.

Yeah, that’s actually a perfect explanation lol
How did that behavior even evolve, like what’s the benefit to the species? I’m really curious.
Well, curious enough to ask, not curious enough to actually research…
Same in Norway, unsurprisingly, but we do say 14 0 0 (fjorten null null) if making it clear that we mean 1400 exact. Otherwise like you said, klokken 14 or klokken 2.
There’s plenty of stories online . It’s all automated and if it decides you’re bad, you’re out. No questions asked, no appeals.
Google search it up and you’ll find many more.
How long until Google says “fuck it” and outright starts banning adblock users? Considering how deep a lot of people are into the Google ecosystem, this is potentially devastating. Imagine losing access to you email, photos, etc., with no way to appeal. Good luck if you want to actually speak to anyone human at Google.
I was taught that dividing the numbers naturally into thirds:
I II III IIII (all I)
V VI VII VIII (all start with V)
IX X XI XII (all contain X)
Visually looks more “balanced” than having an extra V
Yeah, and a net loss of a bit over $1B. Revenue ≠ money in the bank.
I plead autocorrect, and that English is my second language 🤣
As much as I’d love to jump on the “stupid Americans” bandwagon, this seems to be a big problem not only in America. After the reddit exodus and before I had a good setup for lemmy, I used Facebook for a short period. Most of my stuff there is from US, UK and Norway, and the number of people in the comments who can barely put together a coherent sentance is astonishing. Far below 6th grade level by any standard.

Gotta remove the format=webp&thumbnail=256 part.
How have I not heard of this series? Looks twilight zone-ish? Is it worth a watch?
I’d definitely recommend them, though sometimes you’ll need to power through some dry bits. All the 90’s trek started out rough and only got better.
It’s not hard sci-fi, so the technology sometimes works the way the story needs it to work, but generally it’s pretty consistent.
That’s a really cool theory, probably the best I’ve heard! It’s established that there is a limited range, and that transporting during warp is possible, but extremely difficult, have to match the other ships exact speed etc., though they technically aren’t traveling faster than light but existing within a warp bubble.
You can also use emojis in computer and user names in active directory. Trust me, the network guys love it!
I was looking at this link which mentions no smiling and hair away from the face and forehead, but yeah yours is probably more accurate.
My daughter has a similar hair style and for her Norwegian passport she had to tie the bangs with a hair clip before they accepted it. Somehow I would have thought Japan would be just as strict.
Cool, I’ve never seen this one with the actual passport photo. That hair and smile though… Based on a quick google that’s not approved for a Japanese passport photo.
