Your professor is a loser but it’s not surprising unfortunately. I am assuming that you’re a university student and most of those places are lib hellholes.

Outside of university I’m active in several groups related to activism and civil rights and have met a lot of people I’d consider to be genuine friends. It is also possible to make friends online if you know where to look. Could be possible to start a niche discord/revolt/matrix server related to something that interests you and try to make friends that way. I find that having 10-20 active users in a server is the golden number for making online friends.

Maybe I’ve just had an absolutely terrible experience with antinatalists, but I notice a lot of them are also incredibly ableist and misogynistic. I’ve seen a lot of them hurl the most sexist crap at pregnant women and basically call for eugenics towards neurodivergent people.

Antinatalism to me is pretty much the antithesis of progress, it literally calls for the extinction of humanity as a solution to life’s problems.

I’ve been writing all my life and I totally feel this. This doesn’t necessarily work for everyone but when I have art/writer’s block I use the Oblique Strategies by Brian Eno app. It is free on the App/Play Store and usually helps me overcome my writer’s block. It might be worth checking out.

I cut back on my social media usage massively last year. I’ve played guitar since 2018 but about 70% of my progression as a player has been done in the last 8 months or so. I’ve become more focused on writing and art as well as other interests that I have. I personally just viewed social media as a distraction if anything and I pretty much only use it to keep up with friends and to look for help/advice on whatever I’m working on at the moment.

I’m currently on my 2nd temp ban from Reddit for supporting Palestine lol
