  • Oh, it’s one of my favourite flavors of copium.

Someone starts complaining about some rotting systems and crises or other, libs nod along, then the magical C-word comes up and they’re like “WAIT, NOT LIKE THAT! That’s not how capitalism is supposed to work, that’s bad bad evil bad corporatism. We can fix it with proper legislation an stuff and things!”.

  • "Would you shoot the Romanov’s even if it was me?! " “No sympathy. And yes, I would shoot regardless of personal connections”

What for though? Where is political pragmatism?

The amount of memes on the subject I see from western leftists makes me question if there are very few sources available in English or it’s just juvenile cruelty. It was local initiative, strongly influenced by strategic situation during the civil war in the region. Nicolas was “citizen Romanov” by then and the party had a 1001 reason to keep him and his family alive, including plans for a public trial. Lenin was pushing for their evacuation to Moscow. Also…moral implications of killing a couple of teens that were there, anyone? Kill them, because they were born into the wrong family? How very conservative… Not to mention penty of nobles up to and including at least one Major General of the Imperial army I can remember went on to form the core of the Red Army.

Consider the implications for propaganda too. Why create a bunch of martyrs for the Whites? Using exactly this argument, later that same year Maxim Gorky convinced Lenin let Nicolas’ sick second cousin go. Lo and behold - no one remembers Gavriil Constantinovich Romanov.

How many people attended his funeral?

For all of his fairy tales about support of the majority ~12k. And that’s fucking Moscow(population ~13million). For comparison ~50k attended funerals of Motorola and Givi in wartime Donetsk (population ~1 million). And those definitely didn’t have brainwashed libs traveling from afar to see the coffin of their dear Alexey Goebbels Jr. either. They sure did have the risk of an ukronazi terror bombing though.

How many are being arrested for attending?

Well, even your Ministry of Truth says that under a hundred, buddy. Wanna bet they were antagonizing the cops sent to provide security as a standard procedure for large gatherings?

  • Or, you know, crazy thought, Putin told them the truth and anti-corona restrictions are still in effect in the Kremlin. Strange how that perfectly explains why he was meeting with kids before the ceremony and why he’s behaving the way he is in UAE.

I mean, that’s not as flattering to the British sense of self-importance, but maybe, just maybe Putin didn’t snub 3 diplomats from hostile countries at the expense of the other 18 attending.

  • Well…in case any zionists pass through - you’re a really special ethnicity. It sure seems to me that you’re in the number one spot for holding on to the barbaric ass “god chosen people” bullshit for the longest time in history. Otherwise, you’re an average ass middle-eastern ethnicity.

Thank god you don’t represent all Jews.

P.S. I’m gonna feel like that poor Vault Boy there for a straight hour now…

  • 40k actually got pretty funny to me, as GW are trying to portray Tau as communist, when the closest to communism by a country mile as they’re described are…Craftworld Eldar=) Automated production, near total social mobility, meritocracy, war only waged by necessity… Still dicks to the others, of course, couldn’t have it any other way in 40k.

I mostly dropped it because GW aren’t even trying to keep the lore consistent. Shitty philosophical and political ideas in fiction just help me separate it from reality.

When content is both uninteresting and pushing some cringe, that’s…yeah, that just amplifies the cringe damage.

  • If the thought of what they ate keeps you up at night, best I could find is that Putin treated Kim Jong Un to some regional food (he visited Far Eastern Federal District, so lots of sea food). That’s kinda what respectful diplomacy looks like.

When Blinken and Culeba eat McDonald’s puke, with the former probably dressed in a suit more expensive than the room they’re in, I’m not sure if I am to interpret that as the sort of a cheap trick people like you are supposed to buy, or an acknowledgement that there is no diplomacy going on there, just a master instructing his servant.
