US researchers are testing YCT-529, a hormone-free male birth control pill that could redefine family planning.
The question is what are the side effects
They should really be weighed against the current side effects associated with the hormonal pill.
Off the top of my head (not a doctor!), these include: depression, nausea, headaches and a myriad of others.
An exciting development, but the drug affects the body’s use of Vitamin A so I think they need more studies looking for non-reproductive side effects.
Night blindness and immune dysfunction are associated with vitamin A deficiency.

This would also fall under gender affirming care but since it would be for men then maybe the fascists would be okay with it…
Even if this did work, there isn’t a woman on this planet who would trust a man to be diligent enough in their usage to prevent her pregnancy
Vasalgel is a better, proven, effective, safe, and easily reversible option.
Why hasn’t it been approved yet?
Easier to get guys to take a pill than agree to a needle to the ballsack.
Even so, there is a lot of interest in vasalgel. That’s not what’s holding it up.
Abstinence is another easy and free solution but it also hasn’t been approved yet I guess.
Cool, I just won’t touch my wife ever again, thanks for the advice.
Not sure how that’s relevant at all. This is a waste of resources and of money one way or another

Wow, I find that that’s a level of unwarranted personal attack
could you explain to me why a communist is advocating for abstinence?
Contraception is a waste of time and resources when there is a free and 100% effective method for most people
you cannot be serious
I have no clue what you mean. I can’t be serious about saying that just not engaging in such unnecessary stupidity would save money and effort?
Title is blatantly wrong.
How so?
Birth control: US scientists develop world’s 1st male contraceptive pill
There’s nothing world 1st about this.
