I dont understand why there is no major protest in the streets? Ive seen some 30k protester meeting but thats about it…Americans are about to lose it all and the only thing I see is a lot of talking on reddit but nothing else.
In Montreal we had up to 500k protester for climate change and we are only 40million in Canada you would think that a 300million+ country would do better for their rights and democracy.
The way its going by the end of april its gonna be too late.
Even if your president made it clear that our partnership is dead Canadians are still with you in their hearts to fight those wannabe Hitler.
Edit: seems like the post is minimizing the hard and so repectable work you guys are doing. It is not my intention at all. English is not my first language so it might not sound the way Id like it to. You guys are straight heros nothing less than straight heros. Sorry if it hurts anyone feelings. If it is too insulting I can delete the post by respect for you all.

I legit laughed when the mods on the Reddit responded with:
“There are literally several hundred Tesla Takedown protests today.”
Same reason why there was no protests in the streets while Hitler was turning Germany into a hellhole: fear.
You’re not wrong, but it’s important to note there was German resistance
German resistance to Nazism (Wiki)

People around me don’t seem to want to protest or is unable to protest. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to even find a local group in my city. Hopefully I find one when I go to a protest.
Same. I have Mexican neighbors who don’t even know what’s going on. We are 41 miles from the border; ICE is harassing anyone (even at a nearby HS) browner than vanilla ice cream; people have been disappeared already. Ignorance may be bliss, but that bliss can be made to come to a dramatic end.
Have you checked The Big List of Protests for your local area?
I do see some cities, but this site is not for groups. I checked Indivisible already.
Because there are protests, they’re just small and mostly of the chronically online types.
Big-Tech cooperates with government to shut down any type of large scale organization by saying it violates their rules against “violence”. So as you see here there’s a ton of smaller scale protests being formed.
Also most people haven’t been personally affected enough to care as crazy as it sounds, most Americans live comfy-ish lives. While it may not be the best they definitely don’t want to die.
We are fat, lazy, and afraid of ignorant. Doesn’t help that the country is so friggin huge, too. But it does make me fearful. Seems quite possible we have waited too long.
I would 100% go if I knew all my fellow protesters were only going to protest.
Lots of people are very angry- which is valid and I get it - but personally I am not interested in violence or destruction of property. It’s hard to know if those things will be part of a protest or not.
I have gone and will go to protests, but fear that they will turn chaotic makes me less likely to go. Also not at all convinced that small ones are effective, and big ones are rare.
Tesla Takedown’s can get rowdy but are mainly peaceful. 50501 and Indivisible are strictly peaceful.
There are the risk of instigators at any protests. I’d just recommend you find a good group you are comfortable with.
My 50501 group is really well managed. There are peacekeepers there in vests. One time, we got too rowdy and started to walk into the road (not on purpose). But the peacekeepers reminded us to stay on the sidewalk.
