Another week in the books. Let’s chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.
Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).
Perhaps some of their videos have been posted here before, but I just discovered / rediscovered this Youtube channel that translates light anime of The Gals Who Always Say Incredible Things: My Daily Life at a Private Paranormal High School

I’m back online! Time for some manga from this past week:
I checked this out because I love good chuuni characters and this one is a super chuuni. The setup is a bit weird, but it is a lot of chuuni fun. It’s one of those series that makes you ask yourself if you can call the character a chuuni if they actually have the powers they talk about. Looking forward to more of it now that there is a group translating ahead of the official English release.
I have really enjoyed this series a lot. It’s not high art or anything like that, but it is a lot of dumb fun. Also, it is moving at a good pace. The translated chapters just hit the double digits and characters have realized their feelings? More romcoms can take lessons about making characters less dense. It only has 30 chapters, so I hope the TL keeps going.
This one came back from a bit of a TL hiatus this past week. Sami-chan is a great character, a great mix of all the different aspects of being a kid; needy, emotional, playful, and surprisingly strong. I hope that they keep exploring Sami-chan’s mother because it has been really interesting.
I am currently without power, doing this via mobile. So, I will have my full, normal post hopefully later today. It’s drafted, but it lives in a personal wiki on my home server which is down for now.
Of notice this week:
We finally got two more chapters of The Wakaba Home’s Blue Loves, and I can’t be more happy to see it back.
I also started Alkaloid no Hanayome; it tells about the love story of an immortal and a girl whose tears are deadly poisonous. It’s up to chapter 17 and the scanlation is made by Baddies’ Asylum, meaning that it’s of high quality.
Hello, Innocent also got an update! Typical shoujo story, basically my bread and butter when I’m not reading stories about villainesses. 😊
