Why are we as a society elevating a nepo baby who isn’t even good at boxing as a boxer? Did every boxing fan just collectively decide “my sport should now be trash”???
My take: Boxing fans were a dying breed, especially after UFC took off. Jake Paul has a following of younger people who are getting into boxing through him. They are desperate for more viewers and these events are cash cows so they’re more than happy to oblige.
Have you seen USA voters lately? I think the answer is yes.
It’s no better in Canada tbh. We’re about to give a supermajority to a populist and there are houses on my street (in Atlantic canada) with trump flags. I just like to pretend that I’m living in a world with smart people. It makes me feel better.
