“Will this undermine most of what makes IAmA special? Probably.”
The AMA Huffman had just before the APIcalypse, was absolutely epic. It’s going to be pretty hard to make anything even close to that level of legendary quality.
But can we talk about Rampart?
That’s definitely somewhere in the top 10.
AMAs were a casualty on Reddit long before. About the time they fired the person in charge of them (I don’t recall the name or details). I figured Spez’s AMA was probably the end of it all, since it was so “well done”.
Yep, Victoria aka u/chooter
i read this site all the time and i am dying to know the answer to this:
is it pronounced “aye arr ess” or “arrrrs”?
It’s arrrrs, comes from a Latin word
I know how to pronounce it and I still say arse. PNAS is also quite the mouthful. Still easier than spelling out the full name.
I’ve always heard it pronounced “arrrrrs-technica”
ˈɑrz
Essentially the mod team will put down all the duties that any self respecting company will have employees for. The fact Reddit enjoyed the free labour for as long as they did comes to an end. Good for them, this will be one that hurts; not immediately but it will hurt. although, now that the internet knows it is essentially open season, there could be some fun to be had there. And probably i’ll read all about it right here.
