I don’t understand why people have issue with this trial?

What’s going on in Gaza is horrific, and it is a valid question to ask the court that deals with this kind of stuff to determine if it rises to the level of genocide or not according to the current laws that stand.

If it does, then that is clear and countries can act appropriately (or not) but then they cannot say they support the good.

If it does not, then fine. The discussion can be had if this means the law should be amended to include this as genocide, if a new classification is needed or if we (the collective we) find this acceptable behavior.

If anything it would provide clarity on this subject and we can work towards something constructive instead of arguing semantics while people are dying.
