Ukrainian Air Force Takes Down Three Russian Su-34s, Patriot Potentially Engaged

Without disclosing details, the Air Force commander claimed kills on three Su-34s in response to Russia’s overnight “Shahed” attack. The downed jets are platforms for Kh-59 missiles and guided bombs.

Details are fairly scant at this point but the head of Ukraine’s air force has confirmed it on telegram.

Total value of that is > $120M USD. Nom nom nom.

    The story out there seems to be that Ukranians used a shorter range radar to detect the planes and once they where Close enough flicked on the 160km range patriot system. The SU’s where deep inside the range bubble and had no chance.

    Would be impressive if Ukraine had a patriot system to spare they can use to roam around like this and bag unsuspecting targets.

    Noone suspects the inquisition.
